I am making the jump........

Whew! I am done classes at Senerdipity Scrapbook & Gift Co. for the summer and for some little known reason, it feels like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love making and teaching pretty projects, but it left me with little time to clean my scraproom and make something for myself!

And before I have even put thought into cleaning my scraproom, I decided that I might just stick to my computer for a little while longer........

Up until recently, I was quite content to do my digi scrapping using my Microsoft Digital Image pro 10. I actually have become quite adept at it, and made some creations that I completely love. In fact, they managed to get me published in two upcoming publications. My very first publication with digi will be in Memory Makers 601 Great Scrapbook Ideas (relaese TBA) and the October issue of Creating Keepsakes! And its capability to do great effects, even for a novice photo-editior and digi scrapper like me. I thought that I would be perfectly content to play with it forever. But somehow, it just seemed like I was being left in the dust.

There are now things that I wish to do on MS DIP 10 that I really had to work to create, or just couldn't plain figure out, even through much trial and error. Meanwhile, I have become baited by splashy tutorials, and it being talked about by anyone and everyone. So I did it. I caved. I bought Adobe PSE 5.0 and a book on Photoshop.

As a little tribute to me moving into the next frontier, I'll show you with a digital page that I did last week for One Little Word, a great little challenge blog that picks a word every week as scrapping inspiration. I challenge you to give it a try.

And before I go, make sure you check out Trisha Ladoucer's clear mini album by Picture It Page Frames. It is absolutely amazing and it makes me want to do one for myself! She will be at CKC in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, so if you happen to make it there, don't forget to pop into their booth and say hello!

Blog I Must......

My oh my. I've tried to blog in the past and it just didn't work. This time....this time I vow it to be different. I have now taken my sweet time investing in this blog and darn it, I'm going to stick to it. I promise, no crossies behind my back here!

I just decided I wanted a place just to talk about the little slice of life I got and a place to talk about my scrapbooking. My creations, my triumphs, and projects. I love it so much, I tell ya! For me it is a thing that I do that creates joy for me and my family (just ask my Dad, he's my biggest fan!).

So, I hope that when you come and see what I am up to, that you consider coming back again. Maybe learn to do something new or get excited about the things that get me excited too.

But for today, I have to get off of here and do up some paperwork. I have to clean my scrapbook room so I can actually scrap! I'll be back soon. Really.
